佛瑞迪想要對所有教過他的老師謝恩，背後有一段感人的故事，因為他就讀高中時有一次因為重大意外陷入昏迷，當時他夢到從小學、國中到高中階段所有教過他的老師都到醫院探望他，因此發願日後要回報所有老師。
印尼「羅盤報」（Kompas）報導，佛瑞迪（FredyCandra）1993年畢業於中爪哇北加浪岸（Pekalongan）的國立第一高中。他在7月重返母校時，宣布將邀請所有教過他的老師前往歐洲旅遊，後來因為考量老師們年事已高，不適合長途飛行，旅遊地點改為鄰近的馬來西亞與新加坡。
北加浪岸國立第一高中校長蘇里金（Sulikin）表示，起初他只是以為佛瑞迪在開玩笑，但沒想到他是認真的。
佛瑞迪畢業後從事光纖線纜事業有成，累積財富，他想要招待所有教過他的老師去旅行。
佛瑞迪決定邀請他從小學到國中、高中求學期間所有教過他的老師們出國旅遊，並負擔這個旅行團的全額旅費。
這個旅行團共有65名老師參加，旅行團於9月19日出發前往馬來西亞及新加坡。
雖然有事在身的佛瑞迪未能和老師們一起旅遊，不過他還是和家人前往雅加達國際機場為老師們送行，給這些老師們大大的擁抱。
在老師們出發前，佛瑞迪還傳簡訊給接團的旅行社：「不要讓我的老師們有任何抱怨，給他們最好的服務。」
佛瑞迪負擔老師們的旅費包括機票、飯店住宿，甚至還包辦老師們的每日零用金以及申辦護照的費用。對於旅行團中年邁行動不便的老師，佛瑞迪還花錢雇人推輪椅帶老師出國玩。
這些老師們已於24日結束5天的出國旅遊行程返回印尼。
